Liberty is a privately owned business that designs value-driven, quality furniture. In 1992, Richard Brian took the opportunity to start his own business. He began with a vision of a company that would thrive on the values of hard-work, fairness, and integrity. With only seven people and a modest section of warehouse in west Atlanta, Liberty Furniture opened its doors selling only wood chairs and laminate table tops. Steadily, the company introduced more casual dining styles and the vision that was Liberty began to take form. Early on, when Liberty could only afford a basement level showroom in High Point, Mr. Brian would take chairs out to the street in order to entice customers. This initiative and passion for success is visible to this day and is at the very heart of Liberty.
Liberty Furniture is a dedicated provider of all wood products including bedroom, dining, entertainment, occasional and home office categories. Our products are developed using years of knowledge coupled with a vision of the future. By working with industry leading designers and top tier factories, Liberty is well positioned to provide quality products at a great value. We use high-quality wood with the best veneers and conduct an extensive, detail-oriented finishing process, including some level of distressing. In addition, we build our products with high-level hardware to ensure durability. Liberty is widely recognized for its innovative strategies, enjoying private label relationships with some of the America’s Top 100 Furniture Retailers.
Liberty offers the flexibility of mixable direct container shipping and distribution centers located in Atlanta and Chicago. The result of our Supply Chain program is our ability to meet fill rates with the highest of standards. The warehouse and assembly plants ensure the flow and assembly of specific items such as entertainment units and chairs are optimized. Our product flow management tools are essential to satisfy customer demand, order fulfillment, and inventory levels for our customers.
We are a company founded on the core principle of service. We value the relationships with our customers. Our team is ready and available to assist you in any and all questions and concerns you may have. Liberty Furniture is here to serve you… today, tomorrow, and for many years to come.
In 1933, W. Ray Jackson founded Jackson Furniture in the midst of the Great Depression. We opened our doors the day the banks closed theirs. Since then our family has continued to create furniture, right here in the USA. We have seen decades of American prosperity, challange, war and mind-blowing advancements in science and technology. Our family has never forgotten the way our company and country began, with perseverance, hope and hard work.
Throughout all those decades of change, one thing remains constant: Families love to relax together in a room filled with comfortable furniture. That is where we have been, and will always be... from being huddled around a radio to being kicked back infront of a giant flat screen.
Based in Galax, Virginia, Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Company manufactures bedroom furniture. In 1919, two men, B.C. Vaughan and J.D. Bassett, Sr., both of whom were from Bassett, Virginia, first founded our company. Mr. Bassett, Sr., and his brother, C.C. Bassett, also founded what today is well known as Bassett Furniture Industries.
Employing about 700 people in factories based in Galax, Virginia, and Elkin, North Carolina, we are extremely proud of the fact that 100 percent of our furniture is crafted here in the United States by American employees. In fact, Vaughan-Bassett is now the largest manufacturer of wooden adult bedroom furniture in the United States.
Most of the furniture we manufacture consists of wood solids and wood veneers grown and is harvested near our plants in the Southeast. Pine, oak, maple, cherry, ash, poplar, birch, and beech are the primary species used in Vaughan-Bassett's bedroom collections.
Our number one priority is providing our customers with unmatched service, quality, and value. In short, nothing makes us happier than to make it easy for our customers to feel at home.

In March of 1912, a man named John Lane purchased a box plant in Altavista, Virginia. His son, Ed Lane, was 21 at the time and had little manufacturing experience. Ed was encouraged by his father to try his hand at starting a chest factory in the newly acquired plant. The Lane family didn't know how successful their new venture was going to be, therefore, they didn't start out putting their name on it. Instead, they incorporated the little company as the Standard Red Cedar Chest Company, with John Lane as President and Ed Lane as Vice President and General Manager. From cedar chests, Lane expanded to occasional tables in 1951, casegoods in 1956, and accent pieces in 1965.
In 1972, Lane bought a small reclining chair company in Tupelo, Mississippi, named Action Industries. Action sustained tremendous growth through gains in market share and product diversification through the next 20 years becoming a major force in the upholstered furniture industry. Eventually, Action changed its name to Lane Furniture. Today, Lane is owned by United Furniture Industries, one of the fastest growing and largest manufacturers of upholstery and case goods in the U.S.
